Conservation Developments

A conservation development combines protected open space and housing. Homes, roads, and infrastructure are clustered, allowing at least half the land (the acreage with the most sensitive ecological and natural features) to be protected in perpetuity. Ideally, the land conserved is linked to other open spaces, protecting wildlife corridors and complete ecosystems. The developer benefits by lower infrastructure costs and the homeowners benefit from a greater sense of community and access to acres of protected land to be preserved forever.
