Connemara Conservancy is searching for students who are passionate about nature and the environment to join its Youth Advisory Council.
The council currently consists of 15 members and Connemara is seeking additional students, ages 12 – 22 to get involved and help design programs and develop ideas for educating local North Texas youth on land conservation.
“Young people are such a great source of ideas and energy and we’ve been so fortunate to have a dedicated youth council in place to support Connemara . Now we’re looking to add more amazing North Texas students who love land and want to preserve the natural environment to the group,” said the executive director of Connemara Conservancy .

Connemara Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust dedicated to preserving and protecting open space and the remaining natural beauty in north central Texas for both present and future generations. Founded in 1981, with an initial gift of 72 acres by Frances Williams on the border of Allen and Plano, Connemara Conservancy now preserves over 2,000 acres through a combination of conservation tools including conservation easements and conservation development partnerships. Connemara Conservancy is the only registered regional land trust preserving land solely in North Central Texas.
